MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Alvin Levy walked into The MED Friday night, a walk he knows all too well ever since his son was shot while delivering pizzas back on June 6th.

"I am just grateful, I thank God that his life was spared," Levy said. "He has a second chance."

Levy says he feels relief knowing that Memphis Police have arrested three suspects, including two juveniles, in connection with his son's shooting.

Corey Levy was shot and robbed after delivering a pizza to an apartment at the Madison Cypress Lakes Apartments off Quince Road.

According to the affidavit, Zaccheus Scott, 19, and a 15 and 16-year-old confronted Levy as he walked back to his car after delivering the pizza. Police say Levy dropped his money and keys to the ground, and then was shot without warning.

"This shouldn't happen in our community, this shouldn't be allowed to happen, we have to do something," Levy said.

Police say after weeks of investigating, Scott was developed as a suspect. Police didn't have to go far to interview him, Scott was already in jail at 201 Poplar. According to investigators, Scott and the 16-year-old are charged with shooting Devin Champion last Friday.

Police say the two shot and robbed Champion, then stuffed him in the back of a stolen car, and shot him several more times. They then drove him around, before leaving him for dead.

"I'm in shock," said Anna Fairchild, who lives across the street from Scott and his family. "Since that kid has moved in there, there's been nothing but problems at that house and in the neighborhood."

"I feel a little uneasy, not as safe as I did," she added.

Scott remained in the Shelby County Jail on Friday night on a $2 million dollar bond.

The two teens face juvenile hearings in mid-July.
