MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Several guns found in a dumpster behind an east Memphis business earlier this year have been linked to two home burglaries.

Officers were called to the Poplar Plaza shopping center behind CiCi's Pizza just before 11 a.m. on Friday, January 25. Three shotguns and three rifles were found discarded in the dumpster.

Investigators determined two guns were taken in a January 24 burglary on the 500-block of S Prescott St, and a third gun was taken in a New Year's Day burglary on the 3600-block of Wayne Ave.

This investigation is still ongoing; so far, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information on these stolen weapons should call CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274). You can also submit your tip at 528cash.org, or text the word AWARD to 274637 (CRIMES). You will remain anonymous, and you could be eligible to receive a cash reward.
