MBI Investigating Deadly Marks Shooting

The case of a fatal shooting at a Marks, Mississippi convenience store Thursday morning has been turned over to the MBI.
MARKS, MS (localmemphis.com) - The case of a fatal shooting at a Marks, Mississippi convenience store Thursday morning has been turned over to the MBI.

The shooting happened around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 at the Kangaroo Express on the 200-block of Martin Luther King Drive.

According to Marks Police Chief Marvin Furr, the victim drove himself to the Quitman County Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Police did detain the suspect at the scene, but formal charges are still pending.
