MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis police officer is facing charges related to a road rage incident on Germantown Parkway.

Darrell Malone was arrested this week and charged with harassment.

Back in late October, Michael Montgomery told ABC 24 he was cut off by two motorcycles while driving down the busy street. He said he told the guys on the motorcycles he would call police if they kept it up.

At that point Montgomery said one man, later identified as Malone, said he was a cop and showed a gun tucked into his waist. But, it didn't end there. Montgomery said later that night Malone called and threatened him.

Malone and the 911 dispatcher who gave him Montgomery's cell phone number were later suspended.

Malone is due back in court in April.
