Police Arrest West Memphis Murder Suspect

WEST MEMPHIS, AR (abc24.com) - West Memphis police have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting early Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the 200-block of North 26th Street around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4. When they arrived they found 29-year-old Carlos Mitchell suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Crittenden Regional Hospital where he later died.

Witnesses told investigators they saw the suspect run away before police arrived on the scene of the shooting. An arrest warrant for 27-year-old Bobby Robinson was issued for First Degree Murder.

Around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, Robinson was arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office while sitting in a vehicle parked in front of a Memphis residence. He is being held at the Shelby County Jail pending extradition back to Arkansas.

Only difference between West Memphis and Memphis,,,West Memphis is smaller but has the same savages.
