MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The suspect standing as a lookout at a deadly Whitehaven robbery has been charged with murder.

The robbery occurred just before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15 at an apartment on Garden Oak Way near Shelby Dr and Airways Blvd. Memphis police say one suspect forced his way into the apartment and forced two male victims to take off their clothing. He demanded they give him all the guns in the house and a struggle ensued with one of the victims. During the struggle the victim was shot four times and killed, and the second victim was shot in the groin as he tried to escape. He was transported to The MED in critical condition.

A second suspect acting as the lookout pointed a gun at a witness, then got into a car driven by a third suspect and all three drove away before police arrived. The witness later identified 25-year-old Kelvin Cobb from a photo line-up as the suspect standing watch.

Cobb was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder and two counts of Especially Aggravated Robbery. He is being held without bond at the Shelby County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court January 22.

Now it gets to be on the "lookout" to avoid dropping things in prison.

Put him to death - unless it was gang members that were killed. If that's the case, just lock him up for life.
