MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police have charged a suspect with fatally shooting a man near a Raleigh area gas station.

Officers were called to the Citgo on Austin Peay at Stage Rd around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 14. When they arrived they found a 24-year-old man had been shot. The victim, later identified as Corey Anderson, was transported to The MED where he later died.

Investigators say the victim was walking home from the store when he was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim went to the gas station for help and collapsed.

On Feb. 16, 19-year-old Durante Williams was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder in Perpetration of a Robbery. He is being held without bond at the Shelby County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 25.
