SOUTHAVEN, MS (abc24.com) - A student at Southaven Middle School was arrested after he brought a gun with him to school on Thursday.
Southaven police were notified around 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 20 that a student was in possession of a firearm. Officers took a 15-year-old student into custody and found a gun in his possession.
The teen was transported to the DeSoto County Juvenile Detention Center. Investigators would not release many details on the case, but did state that at no time were other students threatened.
