Beloved Restauranteur Ronnie Grisanti Has Died

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Famed Memphis restauranteur Ronnie Grisanti has passed away.

Grisanti worked in the kitchen of his uncle John Grisanti's restaurant. He then left and ran four other restaurants including one in Collierville at the Sheffield antique mall.

Grisanti fell in his home last week and died from complications last night. Family members say he went peacefully. Friends say he was a wonderful person.

"Ronnie was just a wonderful man. He had no strangers in his life. Anyone that came into his restaurant or any restaurants were family as he would say. It's a little emotional we just lost him less than 24 hours ago" - Dana Vorhees, GM of Antique Mall.

Grisanti was 79 years old
