14-Year-Old Girl Charged With Murder Of Blytheville Man

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (localmemphis.com) - Blytheville Police have charged a 14-year-old girl with second degree murder in the death of a man who was found stabbed in a trailer park community. It happened about 7:40 p.m. Sunday night at the Cedar Grove Trailer Park on South Division road.

Officers arrived to find a person trying to help 38-year-old Bennie Earl Holliman, who was lying on the ground bleeding from a wound to his neck. He was taken to Great River Medical Center where he died.

Police say the girl, who has not been named, surrendered about noon Monday. They say she is charged as an adult. Bond was set at $100,000 and her next court appearance is set for February 21st.

An autopsy is being done to determine the official cause of death.
