MEMPHIS, Tenn (localmemphis.com) - Brian Lawler, former WWE star and son of wrestling legend Jerry "The King" Lawler, was arrested at a Downtown Memphis hotel Tuesday night.
According to a police affidavit, Lawler was arrested at the Hampton Inn on Peabody Place after he and Terry Teague stayed in a room without paying.
The hotel manager told officers that Lawler and Teague checked into the room with a company credit card that did not have enough funds on it to pay for the room. According to the manager, Lawler and Teague said they did not have the money to pay the room charge which was just over $800.
Lawler and Teague are both charged with Theft of Services, $1000 or less.
This isn't Lawler's first run-in with the law. According to court records: In February 2009 he was arrested for disorderly conduct. Then on June 26, 2009, he became belligerent when arrested for public intoxication and threatened a police officer. And, on July 13, 2009, Lawler found himself behind bars again for 30 days after failing to attend an in-patient treatment center as part of his plea agreement.
