Business Is "Da Bomb" For DeSoto County Student's Special Enterprise

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - A DeSoto County teenager has started her own business to raise money for concerts and college. Lewisburg High School sophomore Morgan Tibbens has Down's Syndrome, but she's making and selling bath bombs, and sales are booming.

Da Bombs by Morgan Tibbens is blowing up on Facebook. In the past two days, Morgan has gotten more than a hundred orders. Boutiques in Mississippi and Alabama have expressed interest in selling her bath bombs.

Morgan is loving it. She gets to go to more country music concerts, but most of all, she's hoping to raise enough money to go to college.

According to the number of orders and Facebook posts, Morgan has hit the jackpot with her bombs.

"In two days we've had over 2500 shares, and over 1500 likes,” says mom Denise Tibbens.

They've had more than $2,000 worth of sales in two days.

"They said we love Morgan,” said Morgan Tibbens. Morgan's mission is to raise money to go to Mississippi State. The university has a special needs program, so Morgan's mom is all for it.

"She loves Mississippi State and she wants to be a bulldog,” says her mom. “And you know what? I'm not gonna tell her no. If she thinks she can go to college and she wants to go to college, then I'm gonna be right there pushing her and helping her."

Morgan's bath bombs are made with all natural ingredients. She likes how they fizz and swirl around in the water.

Each bath bomb is a surprise. There's a different charm inside each one that you can put on a necklace or bracelet.

The bombs cost $8 for one or $20 for three.
