Cancer Patients At Le Bonheur Get Gifts Of Love

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Families at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital received love, hope, and warmth Friday.

Subaru of America and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society visited the hospital. Children battling cancer received messages of hope, blankets, and arts and crafts kits.

The state director for LLS, Jeff Parsley, said that being a part of this organization hits close to home.

"After I'd started this job, just a few days at 7:05 in the morning, I got a call from my best friend from college, and he said, 'Jeff, my daughter has just been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.' And one of the greatest comforts that I had was to say, we've got that one because of research and investments from folks across the country,” says Parsley.

This is the second year Subaru and LLS have teamed up for this event.
