Community Literacy Celebration For One Year Anniversary Of Anchor Katina Rankin's Children's Book

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Today marks the one-year anniversary of the release of anchor Katina Rankin's children's book: "Up North, Down South: City Folk Meet Country Folk".

To celebrate Katina held her first community literacy and wellness day in Memphis.

The children enjoyed a ballet performance. They even got free wellness checks and learned how to put their homework to music to make learning fun.

During the book birthday bash, Katina read her book to the children and, as a present to each child that attended, they all got a target gift card for school supplies and a free copy of Katina's book.

To learn more about Katina's reading initiative, how to buy her book, and to invite her to your school to read just go to our website Localmemphis.com and click on the green find it button.
