DeSoto County Man Looking For Good Samaritan Who Returned Wallet

DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. (localmemphis.com) - A DeSoto County man is looking for the Good Samaritan who not only found his lost wallet, but saved some precious memories in the process.

Ray Laughter is the director of environmental services for DeSoto County. Over the weekend, he lost his wallet at a Southaven Kroger after he accidentally left it on the roof of his car.

After a long search, Laughter's wife called Southaven Police and learned someone had found the wallet, which included his grandfather's old driver's license. Laughter had kept the license as a keepsake for the last 23 years.

Now Laughter would like to thank the Good Samaritan who helped him.

"We see so much negativity in the world and I just to thank him," says Laughter. "He doesn't know me and I don't know him, but now we'll have a bond that lasts forever."

Southaven Police say the man who returned the wallet was wearing blue scrubs from Baptist Hospital.

If you are the Good Samaritan or know who he is, Laughter is asking you to contact him at 662-469-8152 or on Twitter - @coachray13.

You can also call Southaven Police at 662-393-8652 and they will pass the information along to Laughter.
