Elderly Woman Gets New Roof Thanks To Volunteers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Volunteers came out to help an elderly woman in need of a new roof that was damaged during recent storms.

Organizers say insurance only gave her a small amount of money, so volunteers from Martin Construction chipped in to help. They worked from 7 a.m. to noon to get the job done. Sarah Seymour was overjoyed with their help.

"It's been good to see everyone out here. It's a blessing to see everyone out here. Cause I wasn’t expecting all of this, but I see it and it's here, and I thank God.”

Volunteers also cooked lunch for the workers.
