Healthy Tennessee Hosting Health Fair

MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - The health stats in the Bluff City are not very good. That is according to Memphis mayor Jim Strickland.

But good news is in store for many.

A one-of-a-kind health fair is in town this weekend.

Healthy Tennessee is hosting a fair focused on preventable healthcare.

The organization says 30 percent of their budget goes toward combating diabetes and other avoidable diseases.

"We're going to have doctors and nurses on the ground. We're going to have a bunch of things really focusing on preventative medicine," Dr. Manny Sethi said.

If you would like to attend, it is this Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Raleigh Assembly of God church on Austin Peay.
