MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Local 24 is taking you inside a first-of-its kind, cutting edge technology center in Tennessee unveiled in Memphis.
It's the official opening of the $39.7 million Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Simulation, known as CHIPS. It's housed at the UT Health Science Center in the medical district.
The building is one of only a handful in the country dedicated to simulation training. Reps tout the center will allow students to train in team-based settings to provide the highest-quality care.
The building had been under construction since 2015.
