Man Wanted After Facebook Video Shows Him Kicking Cat High In The Air

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Memphis Animal Services and Memphis Police Department are asking for help. They are searching for a young man seen in a Facebook video kicking a cat high into the air.

As Local I-Team senior investigator Jeni Diprizio explains, he could be facing felony charges.

The head of Memphis Animal Services and police believe the video was recorded in Memphis. It popped up on Facebook within the last two days.

MAS has been inundated with messages from concerned citizens.

"A young man who will do this to an animal, an innocent kitten, what else will they do?” asks Alexis Pugh, MAS Director

That's why the Director of Memphis Animal Services hopes the public can identify this young man.

On Facebook, he drop kicks a kitten, while two other young people look on and laugh.

"How far it went I don't know, but it seemed 40 feet. I don't know. It was completely disgusting."

Take another look at the man in this picture. A Facebook comment reads, "folks on my *** cause I kicked ts out of a cat."

“This is felony level animal cruelty charges. This is provable because we have the video. What we need now is a member of the public who cares about animals to do the right thing and say they know who the person on the video is and come forward."

If you know who the person in the video is, you're being asked to call either the Memphis police or animal services.
