MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - The Grizzlies are getting in the holiday spirit this season. They provided dinner to families Wednesday.
The Grizzlies joined with the Green Leaf Learning Farm to provide nutritious dinner boxes to 100 families. The boxes were filled with fresh produce from Green Leaf.
This is the third year for the event. Officials say last year was so successful, they were able to quadruple the number of boxes this year.
“The people of Memphis need so much, and they give so much back to our team and our players, so we want to make sure we're giving something real back to them,” says Diane Terrell, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility for the Memphis Grizzlies
Some of the fresh produce included beets, kale, carrots, and more.
