Memphis Man Arrested, Charged In Shooting Of Memphis Rapper In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Cal. (localmemphis.com) - A Memphis man has been arrested in Los Angeles, accused of shooting Memphis rapper Young Dolph outside a Hollywood hotel.

The LA Times reports Corey McClendon was arrested shortly after Tuesday’s shooting and was booked on suspicion of attempted murder. He’s being held on $1 million bond.

TMZ reports that Yo Gotti is also a “person of interest” in the case.

Investigators say both Dolph and Gotti were both staying at the same hotel in Hollywood Tuesday when their crews got into some sort of disagreement.

Reports say shots were fired outside the hotel, and Dolph was hit twice. He is expected to be okay.

Police expect to make more arrests in the case.
