Memphis Tigers In Tulsa To Take On Golden Hurricane

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - The Memphis Tigers are in Tulsa preparing to face off against the Golden Hurricane Friday night.

The Tigers are 7 and 1 this season and are ranked 22nd in the nation. Tulsa is 2 and 7.

If the Tigers win, they're one step closer to earning a spot in the AAC championship game on December 2nd.

Tulsa is 2-7, but four of their losses were decided by a single score. Memphis is 13-0 in games not played on Saturday since 2014.

The Tigers are averaging over 500 yards of offense per game, and Tulsa has one of worst defenses in the country. The two teams have averaged combined 85 points in last three games.

Tulsa has two of the league’s best running backs, D'angelo Brewer and Shamari Brooks.

And there’s the revenge factor: the Tiger’s loss last year to Tulsa was worst of the season.

Tulsa is only three weeks removed from beating Houston, and almost upset SMU on road last week.
