MPD: Four Detained After Carjacking At North Memphis Gas Station

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - Memphis police say four people were detained after a man was carjacked early Friday morning at a gas station in north Memphis.

It happened about 12:30 a.m. at the Marathon Gas Station in the 1600 block of Ontario Avenue. The victim told police he was leaving the store when a man pushed him down and took off in his car while it was running.

Officers later spotted the car at Winchester and Knight Road. They detained two 17-year-olds, a girl and boy, a 16-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old man.

 

No charges have been filed.
