New Burger Restaurant Announced For Crosstown Concourse

(NEWS RELEASE) - Farm Burger, the 100% grass-fed and locally sourced burger joint, will open its second Tennessee location next month at the much-anticipated Crosstown Concourse [1350 Concourse Ave]. The 1.5 million-square-foot structure was formerly a Sears distribution center, and the mixed-use development will house commercial, residential, and retail partners. Farm Burger Memphis joins the restaurant’s first Tennessee location, which opened in Nashville last fall. A few miles from downtown and the Mississippi River, Farm Burger Memphis will be open for lunch and dinner daily.

Farm Burger was founded in Decatur, Georgia, in 2010 by organic farmer and rancher Jason Mann and restaurateur George Frangos. The restaurant’s philosophy is rooted in providing guests with the highest quality produce and pasture-raised meats at accessible prices in a family-friendly environment. Farm Burger achieves this by developing dynamic producer relationships that provide value, respect, and sustainability across the supply chain.

”Crosstown Concourse is a game-changing addition to Memphis’ cityscape,” said Farm Burger’s cofounder, George Frangos. “Farm Burger is honored to become a part of this exciting project and to join a community that values preservation and a strong local food economy.”

Farm Burger Memphis’ menu will feature ingredients sourced from numerous producers local to Tennessee and Mississippi, including Sweet Magnolia Gelato Co., Home Place Pastures (for pork), Bonnie Blue Farm (for goat cheese), Bluff City Fungi (for mushrooms), Crazy Good (for hot sauce), as well as many farmers found at the Memphis Farmers Market. The beer list will feature Memphis breweries including Memphis Made Brewing Co., Wiseacre Brewing Co., Ghost River Brewing Co., Meddlesome Brewing Co., High Cotton Brewing Co., and more.

The restaurant’s chef-driven menu showcases award-winning burgers made from a custom blend of 100% grass-fed beef that’s dry-aged, ground fresh, and cooked to order. Dishes also include burgers made from antibiotic-free chicken, pasture-raised pork, and veggies, plus seasonal salads, hand-cut French fries and diverse daily specials. The beverage program features milkshakes, floats, and a curated and a changing list of local craft beers and small production wines.

Farm Burger employs green and sustainable design practices—relaxed and simple with a modern, rural aesthetic. This will be Farm Burger’s tenth location nationwide, with other restaurants in Georgia (Decatur, Buckhead, Dunwoody), North Carolina (Asheville and South Asheville), California (Berkeley and Marin), Alabama (Huntsville), and Tennessee (Nashville). Farm Burger is also in the process of opening in Birmingham, AL, in Grant Park, Atlanta, GA, and in Atlanta’s forthcoming Mercedes-Benz stadium. The restaurants have been featured in bon appetit, Southern Living, on CNN, and many more, and Farm Burger was named among Food & Wine’s picks for “Best Burgers in the U.S.”
