One Person Killed In Shooting Near Covington Pike In Raleigh

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) -

UPDATE 3/20/2017: 

Memphis police have identified a man shot to death near Covington Pike in Raleigh Friday. Travis Brandt, 45, was shot and killed in the 5000 block of Covington Way. Ronald Taylor is charged in the homicide.

UPDATE:
According to Memphis Police, Ronald Taylor, 30, has been charged with first degree murder. This is the 37th homicide this year.


ORIGINAL INFORMATION:
Memphis police are investigating after a person was shot and killed in Raleigh.

It happened about 1:50 p.m. in the 5000 block of Covington Way, off Covington Pike.

Police tell Local 24 the victim died at the scene, and the shooter took off.

No one is in custody.
