Tennessee Snaps Losing Streak, Beats Southern Mississippi

John Kelly ran for 79 yards and two touchdowns, and the Tennessee Volunteers managed to get a 24-10 win over Southern Mississippi on Saturday despite quarterback Jarrett Guarantano sitting out the entire second half.

Guarantano left the game for three plays in the first half with an injury and then did not return to the game after halftime.

It was a costly decision for the Vols as freshman Will McBride had to burn his redshirt.

McBride went one for eight for just 13 yards but never turned the ball over.

Next up: Tennessee travels to Missouri.
