West Memphis Man Charged In Beating Of 3-Month-Old Turns Himself In

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (localmemphis.com) - UPDATE: According to Lt Joe Baker, of West Memphis Police, Frederick Henderson turned himself in just after

7 pm Wednesday.

West Memphis police are asking for your help locating a suspect wanted for beating a 3-month-old boy who is now on life support. The child’s father has already been charged with battery in the first degree of a child under the age of four. A warrant for the same charge was issued for Frederick Henderson.

Police say paramedics responded to a call about a child with suspicious injuries at Williams’ home on March 18th. Investigators say the story Williams, 17, and Henderson, 17, told about how the 3-month-old was hurt did not seem to match the injuries.

The child was taken to Le Bonheur, where doctors said the child had extensive internal head injuries that were not consistent with minor trauma. The boy is now on life support and unable to breathe on his own.

Williams is set to be arraigned Friday. Both he and Henderson are being charged as adults.

If you know where Frederick Henderson can be found, call West Memphis Police.
