West Memphis Three's Damien Echols To Return To Arkansas Friday To Protest Executions

(localmemphis.com) - For only the second time since his release from prison in 2011, Damien Echols is returning to Little Rock, Arkansas, Friday.

As a member of the West Memphis Three, Echols spent nearly two decades on death row in Arkansas, accused of the 1993 murder of three 8-year-old boys.

He will return to protest the decision to execute seven men in ten days, because the state's execution drugs are expiring.

The executions will be the first in Arkansas since 2005.
