MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Three people have been charged in an East Memphis home invasion that led to a fourth suspect being killed by the homeowner.

Memphis police say that on Monday, September 26, 2011, they responded to a shooting call in the 7800 block of Winoak Lane in East Memphis. When they arrived, they found 19-year-old Ladarius Blayde on the floor with a gunshot injury. Blayde was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say the homeowner got his gun when Blayde, 22-year-old Richard Higgs, 23-year-old Joe McKnight and a 17 year old broke in to rob him.

The homeowner shot Blayde before two of the other suspects returned fire. The homeowner was taken to The MED in critical condition.

Higgs was arrested on Monday the 26th, while McKnight and the minor were arrested the next day. All 3 have been charged with aggravated robbery, attempted second degree murder and employment of a firearm.

The mental capacity is that of what you might find in a toilet at the bus station.

Take a good look at these two specimens while you can - they don't keep them at the zoo.

THUGS, THUGS AND MORE THUGS....ITS A SHAME THAT YOU CAN'T LIVE IN PEACE WITHOUT GARBAGE LIKE THIS BURSTING INTO YOUR HOME TRYING TO ROB, BEAT, OR KILL YOU FOR MONEY. ITS TOO BAD THAT THIS COUNTRY CAN'T EXCUTE PEOPLE WHO COMMIT THESE TYPES OF CRIMES. YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO FEEL SAFE INSIDE OF YOUR HOME, NOT EXPECTING AZZ HOLES TO BURST THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE GANG BUSTERS !!
