4th Suspect Wanted in Hickory Hill Robbery

Memphis police arrested three suspects accused of robbing a couple at their Hickory Hill apartment, and issued a warrant for a fourth suspect.

MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Memphis police arrested three suspects accused of robbing a couple at their Hickory Hill apartment, and issued a warrant for a fourth suspect.

The robbery happened on the 6100-block of Ridgewyck around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 13. Police say three suspects robbed a 32-year-old man and 39-year-old woman at gunpoint of their cash, jewelry and cell phones as they were walking out of the apartment, then drove off in a black Ford Expedition driven by a fourth suspect. The victims were threatened, but unharmed.

The male victim followed the suspect to a nearby neighborhood where one of the suspect fired at the victim, but did not hit him.

Investigators later arrested three suspects: Robert Gathright, 18, charged with two counts Aggravated Robbery; Rufus Ross, 55, charged with two counts Aggravated Robbery and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder; Reginald Ross, 20, charged with two counts Aggravated Robbery and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a fourth suspect, 42-year-old Charles McClelland, on two counts Aggravated Robbery and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.
