Chris Jones changes his mind about when he wants his day in court.

MEMPHIS-The Germantown man charged with murdering his wife withdrew a motion for a “fast and speedy” trial, Wednesday.

Chris Jones is accused of killing Heather Palumbo-Jones in April.  The couple was going through a divorce and prosecutors say Jones killed her.  They say the couple got into a fight, and Jones strangled Heather, and then burned her body and dumped it off Highway 64 and Collierville-Arlington Road.

In court, Wednesday Jones’ attorney withdrew a motion requesting a “fast and speedy trial.”

Jones is charged with 2nd Degree Murder in the case.
