MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A boosterthon is in full affect at Arlington Elementary School.

It is where students are encouraged to raise money for the school.

This year's theme is "Camp High Five."

So in honor of the theme, the school's principal decided to camp outside the school until the students run laps to reach their goal of $40,000.

“I use to be a tent camper, so I’m looking forward to just being out here and doing my part to help us raise money for our school. In a fun way," Arlington Elementary principal Gina Gore said.

The students can only run 35 laps.

The money raised will be used for things such as laptops to help the students prepare for their park assessment.
