MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP, abc24.com) - A Memphis man facing a hearing on aggravated assault charges now will answer to witness coercion charges as well.

Patrick C. Robinson was back behind bars Sunday after police said he threatened witnesses who could testify against him in the assault case.

A police affidavit states Robinson packed two handguns and twice confronted witnesses on Dec. 30 at their homes, threatening to get rid of everyone inside if they appeared in court to testify against him.

Robinson had been released on $15,000 bond in the assault case. He's back in the Shelby County Jail with no bond set on the coercion charge. His arraignment is set for Tuesday. It wasn't immediately clear whether Robinson had an attorney. Court online records did not indicate one.
