Baby Momma Drama Leads to High School Baseball Fight

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - From the bedroom to the ball field, some baby momma drama has two high school baseball teams in trouble.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association has slapped Manassas and Trezevant High Schools with punishments following an April 16th fight.

According to the official's report, the incident started in the bottom of the 6th inning when a Manassas player started yelling at the Trezevant bench area.

The report goes on to say the Manassas player "began disrobing his uniform as a precursor to fight."

The Trezevant player was restrained, but then another Manassas player charged the dugout.

"A melee ensued involving the entire Manassas team (with the exception of three players), several of their fans, and players and fans from Trezevant."

"It wasn't like a knock-out, drag-out brawl, it was pretty much like a disagreement," said Dwayne Clark, whose son plays for Manassas, and was at the game. "It was really an isolated situation, if it would have happened in football no one would have been suspended because no punches were thrown."

Two sources tell abc24.com that the fight started when the sister of two Manassas players showed up. She has a child with a Trezevant player.

"All the time with young folks anyway, that's my baby daddy, my baby momma, bless their little hearts, but I am just surprised he didn't tell me," said Diane Sims, who has a son who goes to Trezevant. "Things like that I like to know. Keep up on it," Sims said.

According to the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association, Manassas has canceled the rest of its season, and will be on probation for two years.

"On several occasions, we requested a written report from the Trezevant High School administration and have not received any responses," the letter states.

MCS officials declined comment.
