Bartlett Being Partially Reimbursed for Botched Fireworks

The City of Bartlett is getting a partial refund for their 4th of July fireworks show that went awry.
BARTLETT, TN (localmemphis.com) - The City of Bartlett is getting a partial refund for their 4th of July fireworks show that went awry.

The city's 'Fireworks Extravaganza' was delayed because of a technical problem. People waited around about an hour while the problem was fixed.

The man in charge of the fireworks told city leaders it was possible dew got on one of the wires.

It cost the city $1,400 in overtime, but the vendor credited the city $3,400 because of the problem. And, he plans to do a mini-fireworks show at the Bartlett Fall Festival in September, free of charge.
