KANSAS CITY, MO (abc24.com) - They braved the cold and the snow, but for more than a thousand Ole Miss fans in Kansas City, it wasn't the ending they were hoping for.

The Rebels, fresh off an upset win against the Wisconsin Badgers, fell 76-74 on Sunday night against the La Salle Explores.

Before the game, around a hundred fans, the band, and cheerleaders packed the lobby of the team's hotel for a pep rally.

"The snow? Not used to this snow, we're used to one, two inches, this is different," said Keenan Leak, an Ole Miss student.

"A lot of fun, this is a big thing for us and we are so excited to be here," said Danielle Green, a member of the Ole Miss band. "You can't even feel the cold when you win, you are so pumped up."

"We are excited and loved hearing all the Rebels, and hopefully we can get one more and get into the sweet 16 but it has been a lot of fun, lot of Ole Miss people here," said Evin Beck, an Ole Miss fan.

As the game ended, Ole Miss fans left the Sprint Center and back into the cold. A magical season that came to an abrupt end, leaving lots of memories.
