Investigators say two bodies found behind the home of a Mississippi man are that of a missing Hardeman County, Tennessee mom and her eldest daughter.
GUNTOWN, MS (abc24.com) - Investigators say two bodies found behind the home of a Mississippi man are that of a missing Hardeman County, Tennessee mom and her eldest daughter.

"The Shelby County Medical Examiner has positively identified the bodies recovered from behind the Mayes residence, as those of Jo Ann Bain and 14 year old Adrienne Bain," the FBI stated in a news release sent out late Monday night.

The two bodies were found behind the home over the weekend.

Jo Ann Bain and her daughters, Adrienne, Alexandria, and Kyliah, were last seen near Whiteville, Tennessee on Friday, April 27th.

Days later, investigators in Hardeman County said they were looking for Adam Christopher Mayes, 35, after they said he filed a false police report with them. Bain's abandoned SUV was also found, and investigators say all activities on Bain's credit cards and phone stopped.

"Alexandria Bain (12) and Kyliyah Bain (8) are believed to still be with Adam Mayes," the FBI said Monday night.

On Monday, investigators fanned out across Union County, as agents used shovels to dig behind the home Mayes shared with his parents.

A command post was set up in Guntown, Mississippi, not far from Mayes' home.

Several residents told abc24.com they were scared to hear abouy the allegations against Mayes.

The FBI says Mayes may be using the alias of Christopher Zachery Wylde or Paco Rodrigass.

There is a reward up to $50,000 for tips leading to Mayes arrest.

Anyone with information about Mayes and/or the missing victims is asked to immediately contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463).
