Brother Charged with Deadly Orange Mound Shooting

Memphis police have charged the brother of a teen shooting victim with his murder.
MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police have charged the brother of a teen shooting victim with his murder.

Dewayne McKissack, 18, was arrested Sunday, May 5. He is accused of fatally shooting his brother, 15-year-old Cardarius Webb, on April 29.

Officers were called to reports of a shooting on the 2700-block of Spottswood Ave just before 3:30 p.m. and found Webb lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators say Webb was throwing bricks at a group of people standing outside when McKissack began firing at them, but hit Webb instead. Nobody else was injured.

Dewayne McKissack is charged with Second Degree Murder, Employment of a Firearm, two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder, and three counts of Aggravated Assault. He was booked at the Shelby Count Jail on a $500,000 bond.
