Charges Dropped in Arlington Jogger Attack

The Arlington man accused of attacking a jogger is now free.
MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Arlington man accused of attacking a jogger is now free.

Felony charges were dropped Monday against St. Roland Jean-Charles. He was accused of attacking a neighbor in December 2011 when she was out for a jog.

Jean-Charles' attorney, Blake Ballin, claims it was a case of mistaken identity that kept him behind bars for five months.

A judge granted Jean-Charles a $1,000 bond on a separate misdemeanor assault case; he faces trial on that charge in September.
