MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Hickory Hill club will reopen after an agreement was reached with the District Attorney's office, which had shut down the business after video of a private sex party went viral on the internet.
Club Elements will open its doors on Saturday, August 4. As part of the DA's agreement, the club's owners will pay a $1,600 fine and the club will be on probation for one year.
A judge granted a temporary injunction to close the Hickory Hill club and Memphis police put a lock and chain on the door Tuesday, July 3.
The order came after video of a party promoted by the group "Team Taboo" surfaced, showing several public sex acts. Police also said they responded to 18 calls at the club in the last two years.
