Convicted Cocaine Dealer Faces More Time After Escape

A convicted cocaine dealer who enjoyed a brief taste of freedom now faces even more time behind bars.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A convicted cocaine dealer who enjoyed a brief taste of freedom now faces even more time behind bars.

Today in court, Travis Ware pleaded guilty to escaping a federal lockup in Millington.

He broke out of the prison camp in March.

Investigators found him nine days later in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Millington prison is minimum security.

Neighbors say it's not hard for prisoners to escape. There's no fence and no guard out front.

Ware had seven years left to serve on his original cocaine charge.

He'll be sentenced for his escape in December.
