Edmund Ford is an idiot!! His constituency can't afford to get their own cars through city vehicle inspection, thanks to the "Check Engine Light" debaucle and then you want to impose another fee. Let me ask you this, how are you going to count if I came into Memphis 2 days a week any damn way? I can come up Stateline to Millbranch, Goodman to Airways, Holmes to Lamar, Hacks Cross to Winchester and so forth and so on......... Find something else to get some news time with son. This is not going to be your best work, I hope!

This emmissions crap is just that crap!!! Because Memphis is having a problem with their budget they are going to try and go out of state to get money. Not to mentin fork out $2.7 mil at first and then hope and pray that they get that money back by us desoto countians going through inspection for Memphis. Well other than the folks that have to work in Memphis I bet alot of people would stop doing business in the City. that would be just like Desoto county charging TN residents to come shop at out stores. Hmmmm there is an idea. If your asked to show your ID for a credit card purchase...maybe we should start charging that person the 9.25% sales tax. No wonder people are moving out of Memphis so fast. Way to go FORD!!!

How much more do we have to pay for these OVERPAID,CROOKED,LYING,SELF SERVING BLOODSUCKERS THAT HAVE RUINED A ONCE GREAT CITY?

This new requirement that uses the car computer is the worse decision yet. I have no problem with the emissions test with the wand but anyone who knows anything about cars knows the car computer can give out false signals and are generally inaccurate. I have a 98 Ford Windstar and have spent a lot of money getting it through with a clear computer. Bad idea but something like the EPA would do. It is Cash for Clunkers without the cash. Better yet, drop the whole inspection scheme what with MS, Ark, West TN and the two major interstates, we have a ton of pollutions for free that we cannot control.

It is my understanding that the main source of pollution in this area is the Allen Steam Plant. Maybe Memphis should take care of this first? And what are they going to do about all of the interstate commerce traffic that dumps tons of pollutants? Will Memphis restrict trucking?

Why not go after all the undocumented residents with desoto co. tags on their cars? They aren't going to go thru inspection or buy insurance or even get a driver licence. And you guy's want me to pay more? You need a tow and go system. Let them pay for something for once.
