"Honestly the first thing, they just have to be brave enough to show up," said Choreographer Terran Gary.
Bravery and a passion for fun is what the Grizzlies Grannies and Grandpa's is all about.
"Last year was fun. I came out on a dare from a friend and made the tryouts and found out it was a passion of mine to have that joy in my heart and meet all there wonderful people," said Monica Bunk.
This 56 year old has been a part of the team for the last four years. She hopes to make it a 5th. She says it's not just about shaking her tail feather.
"Oh it's great. It's keeping me in shape. Keeps me busy. I love to dance anyway. So it's a great experience," said Marilyn French.
Team dancers are also required to make appearances at store openings and pep rally's. If 58 year old Rob Mann makes the cut, this will be his 7th year as a Grizzly Grandpa.
"Can you show is some of your dance moves? Absolutely. I sure can show you all the dance moves. Wow. Looks great. Thank you."
"It's the most inspiring thing ever. This group of people between the ages of 50 and I think our oldest right now is 75. This is a group of people that are fearless. They have so much desire to not only entertain but to enjoy themselves," said Choreographer Terran Gary.
The actual auditions will be held Sunday on Grandparents day at Subroy Studios. Registration starts at 9am.
