Driver Charged in Deadly Whitehaven Crash

Memphis police have charged the driver of the vehicle that caused a deadly accident in the Whitehaven area Monday afternoon.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Memphis police have charged the driver of the vehicle that caused a deadly accident in the Whitehaven area Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 1300-block of Winchester Rd at Hermitage Dr just before 11 a.m. on Monday, July 15.

Investigators say the driver of a Mazda MPV van was headed westbound on Winchester when he made a left turn in front of an eastbound motorcycle. The motorcycle hit the van on its right side; the driver of the motorcycle, 29-year-old Kelvin Boyce, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police later found the motorcycle had been reported stolen from Marion, Arkansas.

The driver of the van, 39-year-old Osy Moulaye, was arrested and charged with Vehicular Homicide, Reckless Driving, Financial Responsibility and No Driver License. He was booked at the Shelby County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
