MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Members of the Church of God in Christ are mourning the death of the church's longest living bishop.

Albert E. Reed died Monday; he was 100 years old.

Reed became a COGIC bishop in 1948. He pastored churches in California, Montana, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas and here in Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife and three children.

A wake is set for Friday night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity COGIC on Tulane Road.

The homegoing celebration will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Temple of Deliverance COGIC on G.E. Patterson Avenue.
