MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The FBI says it paid reward money to more than one person who gave authorities information that helped them find a fugitive accused of killing a mother and her daughter and kidnapping the woman's two younger girls.

The FBI did not disclose Monday how many people received the reward money or how much was paid out for information that led authorities to find Adam Mayes in the woods of north Mississippi on May 10.

Mayes had been charged with killing Jo Ann Bain and her 14-year-old daughter Adrienne in their Whiteville, Tenn. home on April 27. Mayes was also charged with kidnapping Bain's two other daughters, 8-year-old Kyliyah and 12-year-old Alexandria and taking them to Guntown, Miss.

Mayes fatally shot himself when approached by officers. The girls were rescued safely.
