MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The man accused of killing his toddler son and dumping the body in a trash bin entered a not guilty plea in court Tuesday.
It was the first time Maurice Brown, 29, faced a judge since being indicted for first degree murder.
Memphis police say Brown beat his 3-year-old son, Maurice Brown, Jr., to death last July, and then dumped the child in a downtown dumpster.
Brown is scheduled to appear in court again next month.
