MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The U.S. Attorney's Office for West Tennessee announced Tuesday that the federal government has filed a lawsuit against FedEx for FAA violations.

The lawsuit stems from allegations that FedEx continued to use refrigerated cargo containers that were in violation of Federal Aviation Administration standards after they were notified by the FAA on March 20, 2008. The containers were used past that date for approximately three weeks on 124 flights.

FedEx faces over $1.5 million in civil penalties.

They attack FedEx with this crap for one, simple reason. To make money. FedEx endures more scrutiny and government penalties than any other air carrier. The TSA is pretty much funded by fining FedEx for stupid things like this.

Please.....this has the potential of being another political move against people that don't support this administration. "The law" nowadays seems to be whatever the flavor of the day is. The govt should be supportive of, yes, a great company like FedEx. I doubt that this is anything that means anything; like the FAA walks on water. It don't. I guess bureaucrats have to live, too.

Over 3 years after the fact???? Oh well, not even the "great" FedEx can flaunt the law! Hit 'em where it hurts, in the pocketbook!
