MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - First Lady Michelle Obama was in the Bluff City to speak at a fundraising luncheon to benefit her husband's re-election campaign.
"It's so wonderful to see the First Lady," said Obama supporter Kelly Jacobs. "I was one of the first ones to put my money down and buy a ticket."
Without a ticket, you couldn't see the First Lady, not even if you were the media.
Tickets for the fundraiser were $250, but that didn't stop Leniece Woods. "It's not often you see our President's wife come to town."
Linda Hall attended Mrs. Obama's fundraising luncheon as well. "I've had some medical issues and I was glad to be alive to see it," she said.
The crowd, which was estimated at about 300 people, helped raise more than $70,000 for President Obama's re-election campaign.
