MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - More than 100 Mid-South families will have turkey on the table this Thanksgiving, thanks to a local fraternity.

The men of Omega Psi Phi dropped off a truckload of birds at the Mid-South Food Bank Friday morning. One by one, they unloaded 112 turkeys.

It's something they do every year.

"We realize there are a lot people who are not as fortunate as we are we just don't want to spend the time during the holidays focused on ourselves," said Omega Psi Phi member D.J. Shingles. "We definitely want to focus on those less fortunate than us."

The food bank's goal is 5,000 turkeys; right now, they have about 2,000.

You can drop off a frozen turkey at the Mid-South Food Bank Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The food bank is located at 239 South Dudley, in downtown Memphis.

A donation of $15 can also be made online at www.midsouthfoodbank.org
